La Burra was commissioned as a cover illustration for El Coqui of Rincón magazine. She represents the natural beauty and rural charm that make Rincón Puerto Rico so distinctive. But she’s also a reminder of what’s at stake if we allow unchecked development to forever alter the essence of our towns. As she breaks free of the barbed wire meant to confine her, we're reminded that where there's a will -- there's a way.
